New plans to develop independent living, assisted living and memory care senior communities across the Southeast region
We are excited to be developing our first Heartis® senior living community in Georgia as part of a major expansion into the Southeastern United States.
The Heartis community will be located in Fayetteville, which is about 22 miles southwest of Atlanta. It will consist of three buildings totaling 157,029 square feet that will house 80 independent living units, 56 assisted living apartments and 32 memory care units. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2017.
Until now focus has been on developing Heartis senior living communities throughout Texas and most recently in Illinois and Wisconsin. We decided to expand into the Southeast for a number of reasons, including significant growth in the region.
“Atlanta, Fayetteville and other cities in the Southeast are some of the fastest growing communities in the country and very livable,” says Jason Signor, Caddis CEO. “The senior population in Atlanta also jumped 7.7 percent between 2000 and 2013, the biggest increase in the nation. Forbes magazine even ranked Fayetteville as one of the top 25 places to retire. The demographics are perfect for our Heartis® senior living communities.”
“The Southeast is attracting many new businesses, services and exceptional medical facilities, which is resulting in vibrant business districts and neighborhoods,” Jud Jacobs, Senior Vice President of Development, disclosed. “This region also offers a tremendous choice of new homes and top-rated schools. Whether they are growing families or seniors, this is definitely where people want to live. We look forward to developing additional Heartis® senior communities in the Southeast.”
Katie Csobaji, Caddis Senior Vice President of Senior Living, pronounced the location of Heartis Fayetteville to be ideal for residents and their families.
“Heartis Fayetteville will be close to shopping, entertainment and other services, as well as medical facilities including the Piedmont Fayette Hospital,” says Ms. Csobaji. “It will be located in a beautiful neighborhood that is easy to access on West Lanier Avenue and that fronts Highway 54, a major arterial highway.”
Heartis Fayetteville will offer a wide range of special features and first-class amenities, including spacious accommodations, large secured courtyards, swimming pool, outdoor walking paths, landscaped grounds, game and activity rooms, a beauty and barber shop, a beautiful dining room, chef-prepared meals, and relaxing common areas. Other services include ongoing social and recreational activities, housekeeping and laundry services, nurse-supervised staff, assistance with personal activities, medical supervision and 24-hour emergency response.
The residence will be managed by Frontier Management, a senior living operations management company headquartered in Portland, Ore. Frontier currently manages five Heartis® communities.
Atlanta-based Pate Design Group will serve as the architect on the project, and the Atlanta office of Choate Construction will be the general contractor.
