The 105-unit, 96,770 square foot Heartis Village North Shore in Glendale north of Milwaukee is part of the firm’s Midwest expansion to fill local unmet needs

GLENDALE, Wis., and DALLAS, Oct. 11, 2017 – In a continuation of its expansion in the Midwest to provide new senior living options in underserved areas, Caddis™ has begun developing its first senior living community in Wisconsin.

Heartis® Village North Shore in Glendale, about nine miles north of Milwaukee, will feature 105 spacious assisted living and memory care apartments, beautifully landscaped grounds and a host of first class amenities. The 96,770 square foot community, which will be located at 100 W. River Woods Parkway, is expected to be completed in early 2019.

Renowned for its Heartis senior communities in Texas, Caddis began expanding in the Midwest in the last two years with the development of senior communities in Peoria, Ill. and Orland Park, Ill. near Chicago. The national healthcare real estate firm, which is headquartered in Dallas, also recently began expanding in the Southeast by breaking ground on senior residences in Georgia.

“We are excited to expand into Wisconsin and offer residents a new Heartis senior community that combines beautiful, personalized apartments with a fun, stimulating environment and unparalleled comfort and amenities,” says Caddis CEO Jason L. Signor. “Residents haven’t had a lot of new senior living options in this area for some time, so we’re pleased to help fill this important need.”

Katie Kleinsmith, Caddis Senior Vice President of Senior Living, notes, “For all of our Heartis residences, we try to find the optimal location near sought-after communities and important services and accommodations. Heartis Village North Shore will definitely fit this description. It’s conveniently located near Milwaukee as well as a number of vibrant suburban neighborhoods, including Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, FoxPoint, Bayside and River Hills. It also will be located at the end of a beautiful, quiet cul-de-sac with access to nearby healthcare providers. And what’s most fun, it will be located near the Milwaukee River, and we plan to build a safe walkway so residents can access the riverfront. This senior community will have it all.”

Heartis Village North Shore will offer a wide variety of the highest quality amenities, including landscaped grounds with garden areas and walking paths; large, secured courtyards; relaxing common areas; game and activity rooms; a wellness suite; library; media room; large, inviting dining room serving home-cooked meals; social and recreational activities; and a beauty and barber shop. Special services will include nurse-supervised staff; 24-hour emergency call system; housekeeping and laundry services; and assistance with personal activities.

The new community will be managed by Pathway Senior Living LLC, a Chicago-based company that operates senior living communities in Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas and Minnesota. The architect for the project is Austin, Texas-based Katus, and the general contractor is Stevens Construction Corp., which is headquartered in Bloomington, Minn.
